214 PREGNANT RESCUED WOMEN: The growing national dilemma
THE discovery that about 214 abducted women, who were rescued recently from Sambisa forest are pregnant, has thrown the nation into a dilemma. There are fears that they may have been impregnated by the Boko Haram insurgents. Indeed, the implications of the development were not lost on Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kassim Shettima, who lamented that the terrorists deliberately impregnated the women to breed a new generation of terrorists.

NCC wields the big stick over unsolicited messages
The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC said it could drop the hammer without further warnings on any operator found violating the rule against sending offensive, unwanted and , unsolicited messages to subscribers. The commission which admitted that its office was inundated with complaints from subscribers on the development, has on several occasions warned operators to desist from sending unsolicited texts and calls to subscribers or risk sanctions.
