Policeman get sets to quell protect of students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye in Abeokuta

ENUGU—Nsukka Division,of Enugu Police command has dismantled an armed robbery,car snatching syndicate who has been terrorising residents of Nsukka and its environs.
Ring leader of the gang,Solomon Ugwuoke, 32, who is married and has four children was arrested at Agbani,Nguru Nsukka on September 23, during a foiled car snatching attempt.
It was gathered that the suspect and an accomplice, identified as Remy, had laid siege at the victim’s residence, waiting for him to return home with his Toyota Highlander jeep with registration number LND 405 DG Model 2004.
As the victim approached to open his gate, they accosted him at gun point and stole the jeep.
According to Police Public Relations Officer,PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu,DSP, who confirmed the incident in a statement to newsmen, the suspect had earlier been arrested by the operatives of Nsukka Division on account of unlawful possession of fire arms in which he was later arraigned in court.
Amaraizu said,”the suspect in the company of his cohort whom he gave his name as Remy, laid siege at the entrance gate waiting for the victim to return home with his highlander jeep with registration number LND 405 DG model 2004.
“As the victim approached to open his gate, they held him at gun-point and stole the jeep. Remy was to take the stolen vehicle that night to a place called 33 near Onitsha where Remy is said to have contacted an instant buyer.
“It was on his way to Ontisha en route Adani-Nsukka Road that he was nabbed by the operatives of Anaku Division of Anambra command that same night following information relayed to various operatives.”
