The Senior Special Assistant I to the Governor of Kogi State in charge of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Bolaji Olore, has described aspirants contesting the PDP governorship ticket with the incumbent as political jesters who had lost touch with realities in the state.

This came on a day thousands of enthusiastic PDP supporters stormed the national secretariat of the party at Wadata Plaza yesterday in solidarity with the state governor, Capt. Idris Wada, who picked the nomination form to re-contest for a second term.

Speaking with Vanguard in his office at Mopa yesterday, Olore said the governor had justified the mandate given him by the people of the state in 2012.

“As far as we are concerned, Capt. Idris Wada has been able to sustain the tempo of development started by our former governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.

“He has been able to impact the agricultural sector. Our farmers are now happy with their level of productivity as we are gradually moving towards food sufficiency in the state.

“The ongoing Kogi State Teaching Hospital, Anyigba, when completed, will dwarf many teaching hospitals constructed by the Federal Government.”
