After hosting Mr. Jimi Agbaje, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Lagos State to a Grand House Reception forthnight ago, the management of
the Niteshift Coliseum, in Ikeja last Sunday, hosted his All Progressives Congress ,APC, counterpart, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode in the same manner.
It was a gathering of the political bigwigs. The founder of the premier hangout, Ken-Caleb Olumese popularly known as The Guv’nor who compered the event was all smile as he ushered Mr. Ambode to the hot seat, where he shared his thoughts and plans for the Centre of Excellence with the distinguished members and patrons of the club.
“My wife already knows who I am voting for. I want to officially welcome the next governor of Lagos State into the coliseum. It is on record that we hosted the PDP candidate, Jimi Agbaje last week. It is in the papers but on the day of the election, I know who my governor is. The Niteshift Coliseum has hosted past governors of Lagos State. We hosted Tinubu. Fashola was given the singular honour of being hosted twice’, Olumese began.
Explaining why the Niteshift Coliseum hosted Agbaje earlier, Olumese said:”Yes, it is true that we hosted Jimi Agbaje. It was reported in the papers so it is not a secret but we are an entertainment outfit.” Ambode was presented a plaque on behalf of the Coliseum and this officially brings to an end growing speculations and controversies that had greeted Olumese’s decision to host both the PDP and APC governorship candidates at the Niteshift Coliseum.
