IBADAN – The ruling All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are on war path over alleged manipulation of the voters registration exercise which just ended.

The parties are at loggerhead over alleged bribing of an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Iseyin Local Government to register about 1,500 eligible voters in favour of the APC.

While the PDP insisted that there was a foul play, the Iseyin Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Adejare Yusuff and Chief Layi Omokunmi, the APC chairman in the council described the allegation of bribing the INEC official with N2.5 million as unfounded and baseless.

Yussuff wondered how it would be possible to register more than 1,500 people for the APC where security operatives were monitoring and ensuring there was no malpractices of any sort.
