Landlords eject Bayelsa gov’s aides

YENAGOA—Some aides to the Bayelsa State governor and his deputy, who have been operating from rented office apartments, have been ejected by their landlords, following the failure of the state government to renew the tenancies for the apartments.

Some of the political appointees who spoke on condition of anonymity, said  that they were facing constant harassment from the property owners, who were trying to forcefully eject them following the expiration of their rents, a situation they said had reduced their effectiveness as they were now operating from their homes.
The state deputy governor, Rear Admiral Jonah Gboribiogha (rtd.) described the development as unfortunate.
