An Olympian, Emmanuel Babayaro, on Thursday said that he was confident that Super Eagles would overcome Morocco’s Atlas Lions in a quarter-final match of the African Nations’ Championship (CHAN).
Babayaro told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that, after a poor start, the Eagles had become a force to reckon with in the tournament.
NAN reports that the Eagles lost their opening Group A match 1-2 to Mali before they bounced back to defeat Mozambique 4-2 and host, South Africa, 3-1.
“Nigerians are dogged and resilient; it is these factors that tend to play to our advantage whenever we are faced with a herculean task.
“I expect nothing short of commitment and zeal from the players because a lot is at stake for them; some of them could earn a place in the World Cup.
