Comrade Tony Nwoye who was replaced by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as the PDP candidate upon a court order, was yesterday inching towards recovering the ticket after the Supreme Court ordered the Court of Appeal to give a ruling on the dispute between both contenders.

Ukachukwu had foiled an attempt by the Court of Appeal to give a ruling when he urged the appellate court to disband itself and reconstitute another panel to hear the case. Following the refusal by the court, he appealed to the Supreme Court which yesterday dismissed the case and asked the Court of Appeal to proceed with its judgment saying the appeal was a move to arrest the judgment.

Nwoye’s supporters were yesterday hopeful that the development could in the next few days lead to the restoration of the mandate of their man.
