MAIDUGURI—To meet United Nations Millennium Development Goals, UN-MDGs, on free health care delivery services by 2015, wife of Borno State Governor, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, has launched a Free Child Survival Drugs and Supplies, FCSDS, for children below the age of five at the health centres across the state.
Speaking at the ceremony yesterday Nana said: “The free child survival drugs and supplies that is being launched today was to complement the free maternal health care delivery services launched early this year.”
According to her, the free maternal health care services was successful and commended chairmen of the 27 council areas for sensitizing and mobilizing women to have access to health care delivery services at their door steps.
In sustaining the health care delivery programme, she said she would personally monitor the full implementations of the health delivery service programme to “ensure its success.”
