ENUGU—Enugu State police command has commenced full scale investigations into the alleged suicide by a native doctor in Nsukka local government area of Enugu State.

The native doctor, identified as Thankgod Ugwu, was said to have hanged himself with a rope in his room at No. 61 Mbuke Street Iheowerre, Nsukka.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said the victim’s brother, one Tony Ugwu Ebuka, reported to the police that he committed suicide on April 21, 2012, without leaving any suicide note.

He said the processes leading to the post-mortem examinations on the deceased native doctor had already commenced.
