Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club, Sharks have been rocked by the news that three of their first team players will miss Tuesday’s game against relegation threatened Crown.
Stanley Okoronkwo, Hope Fibresima and Pape Ousmane Sane will all sit out the game in Ilorin because of varying injuries.
Team doctor of Sharks, Vincent Wachukwu revealed that Okoronkwo had a fracture of the radius and ulna and will likely miss out on the rest of the season.
“His (Okoronkwo’s) injury is serious and he will likely play no more matches till the end of the season,” Wachukwu told SuperSport.com.
The medic also went on to elaborate on the respective cases of the two other injury casualties, Fibresima and Sane.
“Both are serious cases. Sane has been struggling with a groin injury and he will not play again this season.
Hope will also not play again this season,” Wachukwu said.
Sharks are in 6th place in the NPL with 56 points from 34 matches.
