In recognition of its outstanding role in helping develop and re-shape the Nigerian IT landscape, an indigenous software firm, SystemSpecs was last week honoured as Nigeria’s 2010 Software Company of the Year by the Nigeria Computer Society, NCS. In the same breath, the company also received the award as 2010 leader in software and application services from IT Edge, publishers of West Africa business enterprise magazine.
At the presentation of the awards in Lagos, Managing Director of SystemSpecs, Mr. John Obaro, expressed delight at recognition of his company and promised to improve on past performance.
“We are delighted by this recognition from two reputable organizations which over the years are helping to develop and re-shape the Nigerian IT landscape. We pledge to continue to uphold the values and responsibilities these recognitions have placed on us. We would work even harder to ensure we win it again this year,” Obaro said.
President Nigeria Computer Society, NCS, Professor Charles Uwadia, who was represented by first Vice President, Dr. David Adewumi, described SystemsSpec as a pride not only to the society but also to the industry.
“SystemSpecs is a pride to the society and our industry. Your products, works and contributions to the growth and development of the software sector in Nigeria have remained consistent. It is not a surprise that your company has won this category of the Nigeria Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA) back-to-back.”
