The star- studded movie parades the likes of Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Omoni Oboli, Stella Damasus, Enebeli Elebuwa,Ngozi Ezeonu, Desmond Elliot, Sylvia Oluchi etc, all of whom will be present at the Lagos premiere of the movie.

The movie premiere which is sponsored by UACN Plc, Rainbow Workstation Services, Vitabiotics Nigeria Limited and other notable brands will feature live performances by the renown music producer Cobhams Asuquo and other leading acts in the music industry.

The storylines of Bent Arrows weave together to explore many themes such as sexual abuse, undue parental control, betrayal, revenge etc. The movie tells the story of three innocent young girls and how their innocence became battered in the hands of men, turning them into broken-hearted and emotionally shattered girls looking for revenge.

Speaking on the movie, Isang Ubong-Awah, the writer and producer of the movie said, ‘I got the inspiration from God but I believe that the material for the screenplay must, in some way, have come from the various stories or experiences I have heard or read about through the years. Although none of the characters in the movie bears actual resemblance to any story or experience I have heard about, Bent Arrows, in a very unique way, highlights painful but regular occurrences in our world today.

I am certain that everyone will agree that the various issues it addresses, whether it is sexual abuse, betrayal, undue parental control or the preferential treatment given to the male child, are all common in our society and have ill consequences on the society and especially on young girls.”

Directed by Lancelot Imasuen, Bent Arrows  is accompanied by an independent soundtrack album produced by Nigeria’s foremost music producer, Mr. Cobhams Asuquo.

The 7-track album has original songs that cut across different genres of music.

The album features notable award-winning Nigerian singers like Styl Plus of Olufunmi fame, the Rooftop MCs (Lagimo), Nikki Laoye, Stella Damasus, Cobhams Asuquo etc.
