A couple and three other persons were Monday paraded by the Police in Ondo State over the kidnapping of a grand mother and wife of a Saudi Arabia based Medical Doctor, Mrs. Idowu Ogunleye.

Equally, five other notorious armed robbery suspects said to have been terrorizing the people of the state in recent times were paraded before newsmen.

The State Commissioner of Police Mrs. Chintua Amajor-Onu, said the couple, Mr and Mrs Dele Amos were arrested over the abduction of the grand mother last year November.

Amajor-Onu said the suspects who include Eugene Idima and Lukman Lamidi were apprehended following a tip-off by some members of the public.

According to the Police Boss, the family of the wife of the Medical Doctor actually paid N2.5 million to the kidnappers before she was released.

She pointed out that the leader of group identified and nicknamed blacky and one other Emeka Eze are still at large.

The Commissioner said the suspects have confessed that they were given N20, 000 of the ransom while Idima got N10, 000, Lamidi collected N5, 000 and the chunk was taken away by Blacky.

Amajor-Onu explained that the couple were neighbours of Mrs. Ogunleye and they decided to make brisk business by conniving with Blacky to abduct her for a ransom.
