The resignation of Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo as national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday got Enugu State politicians cracking. While the camp of Governor Chime Sullivan Chime, which battled headlong with the Nwodo camp for seven months heaved a sigh relief, the exit of the PDP chairman has raised fresh political calculations in the Coal City.

IF the message at a convention is fundamental, then I was surprised that as many as 805 delegates at last Thursday’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries voted for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
