IYC scribe commends Bomadi devt projects

UGHELLI — SECRETARY, Western Zone Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Preye Okaba, has commended the chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Kelly Penawou, for his developmental initiative in the area.

Okaba, who made the commendation while chatt-ing with newsmen shortly after touring some projects executed by the council, noted that the council chairman was doing well compared to what he did in first tenure.
Okaba said that he could do better with the support of political leaders in the area.

He said:  “In Bomadi metropolis, he tarred Olou road, resuscitated the Bomadi water project to serve half of the town while in Kpakiama and Esanma towns, he tarred the West-Point Link and Clinic Roads to the waterside”.

“In Kalafiogbene community, he built six classrooms block and also provided a Cassava grating mill and a boat to boost economic activities. He also supplied health equipment for the health centres in Ogriagbene and Ogbeama with the Health Centre in Okoloba also enjoying a water project.

“In Ogodobiri community, a small concrete bridge was built by the chairman.”

He tasked contractors to expedite action on unfinished projects in other communities.
