Top companies in Nigeriaâ€™s information and communications technologies (ICTs) industry have lent their weight to theÂ meeting of stakeholders tagged The Telecom/Device Forum .
The forum is being organised by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Communication Week Media, publishers of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek.
According to the organisers, leading supporters of the event include Harris Stratex, Valucard, ZoomMobile, eTransact , IHS and Galaxy Wireless among others
The companies, all frontrunners in their respective fields will join the leadership of the NCC, Nigeria Interbank Settlement System and top government functionaries to present valid forecasts of developments in the telecom industry and examine the driving forces behind these developments especially in e-payment and emerging technologies.
The theme of the forum is â€œTelecom Industry Fuelling the Future of e-Payment Systemâ€ and it is designed to give both the layperson and the professional an update of emerging technologies, e-payment and handheld devices and related business trends and events.

Reuben Mouka, head public affairs of the NCC, said that the forum is designed to bring key actors in the industry meet, discuss, suggest and chart a roadmap for the future of communications industry in Nigeria .
According to him, Nigeria is witnessing a telecom revolution, which has resulted in impressive growth of landline and mobile connections.
