In an innovative bid to smoothly relaunch the Sheraton brand new positioning and evolved core values to Sheraton Abuja associates, General Manager of the Hotel, Mr.Morten Ebbesen hosted over 500 associates to a grand lunch at the Ladi Kwali conference Centre.
The mood in the ballroom was that of vibrant energy in the heart of the afternoon as associates seated themselves ball room style within the richly decorated venue. Signature Core values posters decorated the walls, and the mouth-watering aroma from the chaffing dishes held the promise of a fulfilling lunch to come.
The General Manager gave a warm welcome to all associates whom he referred to as â€œleaders who make the differenceâ€.
In his key note address, Mr. Ebbesen explained that â€œwe are presently at an exciting transition with the Sheraton brand. He stated that Starwood Hotels and Resorts worldwide has really committed to research and work that is required to position us best with our target audienceâ€.
The General Manager added that â€œthere has been some refinements made to our positioning and core values to assist us with making even stronger connections with each other and our guestsâ€.
He then mentioned that â€œToday is all about making sure we all understand and embrace our new positioning and to feel confident about forging even stronger connections with each other and our guests.
To ensure we warm up in a way that is consistent with the Sheratonâ€™s philosophy of connecting people to peopleâ€. The Director of training â€œMrs. Rhoda Dabo delivered a power point presentation on the brand repositioning and re-emphasized that a lot of work has gone into researching our brand, resulting in a more indepth understanding of who our guests are and how we can position ourselves better to take care of them.
