Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has agreed with the leadership of the state House of Assembly, to present the 2015 budget tomorrow.

The presentation earlier scheduled for yesterday, was shifted due to the valedictory session by the House of Assembly in honour of late member representing Ideato North State Constituency, Mrs. Eudora Okwesileze Igwe.

A statement by Sam Onwuemeodo, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, said the leadership of the Assembly and Governor Okorocha agreed to shift the scheduled 2015 budget presentation, to Wednesday December 31, 2014 at the usual venue, saying the “postponement of the budget presentation is once again in honour of the late law-maker.

His Excellency regrets the inconveniences occasioned by the postponement.”

Meanwhile, Governor Okorocha, has commiserated with the husband, and the entire family of Igwe in Ideato North Local Government and the state House of Assembly over Mrs. Okwesileze Igwe’s death.

The governor described her “as one of the outstanding members of the Assembly.”

Governor Okorocha had earlier expressed shock when the sad news of the death of the law-maker was brought to his knowledge and had all state functions fixed yesterday and today,  including the scheduled 2015 budget presentation cancelled or postponed, all in honour of the late lawmaker.
