“We must not allow the killing spree to continue in our nation. The government must act and protect the very precious lives of Nigerians and keep the nation safe by fishing out the perpetrators of these crimes and bringing them to justice.”

Obi stated that the disparities in the electoral procedures of both nations are regrettable, adding that it reflect Nigeria’s ongoing struggles with democratic governance.

“It’s bigger than the Labour Party. It is so because it is a move of its own that has a life of its own. What they are interested in is good governance.”

FOLLOWING the recent decision of the Labour Party, LP, to create a directorate for the Obidient Movement in the party, the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections and the principal mentor of the Obidient Movement In Nigeria, Mr. Peter Obi has said that the group is beyond a political party and cannot be cubbyhole into one.

“It was a time that Nigerians united and spoke with one voice regardless of tribe, tongue or religion. The 2023 election wasn’t a Christian or Igbo project.”

“They have worked together before in 2019. It would not be out of place if they work together again. I am not in their minds but I don’t see the possibility.”

“His Excellency, Peter Gregory is not interested in a merger that is only for the interest of seeking power. He is interested in a merger that will bring Nigerians out of the poverty level, bringing the Nigerian people to a comfortable state of health care.”

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election, Mr Peter Obi, has appealed to Nigerians and governments at all levels to channel their investments towards development for the sake of our children.

“I’m not desperate to be president, I’m desperate to see Nigeria work, especially for the poor people because we have a lot of potential.”
