It was a black  Friday  in Abeokuta, as some parts of the Ogun State capital recorded  massive flood that swept away  many people, including two mothers, three children, two young boys and many valuables.

No fewer than five persons were feared dead and property worth millions of naira destroyed on Friday night, as flood wreaked havoc in some parts of Abeokuta, Ogun capital.

Scores of people, including a mother and child were missing Friday and properties worth billions of naira were destroyed after a massive flood ravaged parts of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, and its environs.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga on Tuesday said floods in Japan, caused by heavy rains, left 134 people dead, while 88 are missing.

Abuja – Two of the victims of Saturday flood in Karshi, Federal capital Territory, have been recovered, the Chief of Karshi, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed, has said.
