Akpabio withdraws suit against INEC

Former Senate Minority Leader, Mr. Godswill Akpabio, on Friday, withdrew the suit he filed to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  from issuing Certificate of Return to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chris Ekpenyong, who defeated him in the February 23 Senatorial election.

Dr. Chris Ekpenyong served as deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State in the period between 1999 and 2005. He had since his exit from office laid low albeit politically.
