A Federal High Court sitting in Benin weekend granted an interim injunction against the authorities of the University of Benin restraining it from ejecting its former Vice Chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Nwanze, from his official residence.

“We use this medium to warn that no highly placed politician or public officeholder in the state is above the law, hence we are calling on the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Yakubu Alkali, to ensure that all the culprits involved in the above incident are fished out, investigated and prosecuted, if found culpable, irrespective of their assumed status in the state.
