FOURTH Republic Politics in Rivers state has always been highly competitive and intense but, since the campaigns towards the 2015 Elections, the levels of mindless inter-party and intra-party violence have risen to horrendously unconscionable levels.

As Nigerians, our common goal should be shared prosperity. Since herdsmen are part of Nigeria, we must all do everything to integrate them into the loop of a prosperous Nigeria.

Precisely three weeks ago, I had a tap on my back shortly after a Church service in London. As I turned to behold at whose behest, I saw an elderly lady on a wheel chair. 

Yes, you could say it didn’t start today. But must we continue to repeat the same errors? We now even go ahead to defend, justify and applaud obvious abnormalities. Take a look at these:

Ever since his emergence as Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has been the undeserved target of mudslinging, character assassination, frivolous court cases, undue media trial, harassment and humiliation, propaganda, half-truths and outright falsehood among other shenanigans aimed at cowing and arm-twisting him to force him to bow to the whims and caprices of a powerful cabal operating with reckless abandon both within the presidency and the All Progressives Congress, APC, his only sin being that he contested and won the senate presidency against the pleasure of some self-crowned kingmakers, an action well within his rights.
