AN uncomfortable truth which the opposition in Rivers State doesn’t admit is that the prequel to Nyesom Wike’s election as governor in 2015 was his predecessor’s extraordinary apostasy in the fall of 2013. It was an astonishing act of betrayal of his own people and heritage which filled Rivers people with anger and resentment. That feeling subsists till date.

THE Lagos State Government under the able and effective leadership of His Excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has long demonstrated its full and unalloyed commitment to the transformation of the Lagos State Public Service into the leading public service in Africa.

One of the usual features on Nigerian social media is the nostalgic passion with which Nigerians often distribute pictures of the old Nigeria Airways and how that company once considered one of the best in Africa was mismanaged and made to fail. Established in 1958, it was liquidated in 2003.

Ritual killings are becoming very common today. I think one of the ways to stop ritual killings is to empower our youths with vocational skills. With this, many of them would not be lured into ritual killing just to make quick money. Someone with a good source of living will find it difficult engaging in the act. Therefore, youth empowerment should be prioritised.

FOLKS, this victory is sweet. It’s a victory for democracy. It’s a victory for Nigeria. This victory belongs to the judiciary; it’s a clear testimony that our judiciary is well beyond and above premordial sentiment that he who pays the piper dictates the tune.
