Angered by what the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki said was his reason for visiting ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, the social media aide to president Muhammadu Buhari, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie on Tuesday frowned at Saraki’s statement and dramatically explained their conversation in what can be termed  a ‘fictitious conversation’.

A pro-democracy group, Movement for Democratic Goals, MDG, has raised the alarm over alleged plans by All Progressives Congress, APC, governors and senators to raise billions of Naira to fund the removal of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.

Senators planning for a showdown with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over his continued stay in office, despite his defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, may have been caught off guard in their plan as the National Assembly has decided not to reconvene today, but hold a joint session to stave off impeachment of the leaders of the Senate.

Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara, have given reasons why the envisaged reconvening of the two chambers of the National Assembly will not hold in the immediate future and asked legislators to go about their affairs while on holiday.
