THE Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has directed the termination of the appointment of the Director General, State Security Service, Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.

THERE is a rumour that some members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP may defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, alongside the past governor Senator Godswill Akpabio if the news making the rounds within the state capital since Monday is anything to go by.

At least 49 senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have appended their signatures against the failed attempt to impeach the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the Deputy Senate President, Professor Ike Ekweremadu.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce lawmaker representing Bayelsa East in an interview on Channels Television Breakfast Programme, Sunrise Daily, alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers are planning to appoint Senator Godswill Akpabio as the Senate President.

Following the drama ongoing at the two chambers of the National Assembly where men of the Department of State Security Services, DSS, Monday morning, denied some Senators and House of Assembly members access into their chambers, reports have claimed the DSS men have however granted access to some All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmakers.
