Gallery B57 is set to open the doors of her new space for its inaugural exhibition, ‘Ghosts of Bar Beach’. The exhibition which will open on October 28, 2018 and end November 11, 2018 is a solo show by Ade Adekola. It provides a post-documentary perspective to the history of Bar Beach, examining, how contemporary artists deal with the concept of nostalgia and memory.

My task here is to rewrite, in just one newspaper page, this 569-page historical, cultural, artistic and monarchial encyclopedia printed in 8 or 9 point size letters, so that my readers, as usual, will feel they have read the entire compendium. It is such a daunting task that can only be achieved by a master.

INTERPRETING  what someone else has written is no mean job especially when the writer and the interpreter have no common meeting point but that is exactly what law courts do every day. Justices, judges and magistrates sit in their hallowed chambers on daily basis to interpret the constitution and other laws made by the legislature to govern the proper conduct of people in society.

In every sane and forward looking society, the progenitors and harbingers of different traditions and social innovations are celebrated. Such honour is meant to motivate more productive thoughts, which are capable of stimulating inventive ideas that will impact positively on the socioeconomic and academic domains of any society.

THE popular saying that an old woman will never be tired of the dance she knows was brought to the fore recently, when  award winning writer, author and activist Ekanpou Enewaridideke added two new books to the array of of books in his collection.
