THE mutually beneficial relationship between Ofala and Globacom was ignited one bright summer day in August, 2011, when the revered monarch of Onitsha Kingdom, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, gave the nod that telecommunications outfit, Globacom, should be the official sponsor of the oldest and most colourful festival in the East of the Niger, the Ofala Onitsha Festival.

Gallery B57 is set to open the doors of her new space for its inaugural exhibition, ‘Ghosts of Bar Beach’. The exhibition which will open on October 28, 2018 and end November 11, 2018 is a solo show by Ade Adekola. It provides a post-documentary perspective to the history of Bar Beach, examining, how contemporary artists deal with the concept of nostalgia and memory.
