ART X Lagos, West Africa’s foremost international art fair, curated a special exhibition of artwork during President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the iconic New Afrika Shrine. The exhibition featured works by three of Nigeria’s leading contemporary artists Victor Ehikhamenor, Abraham Oghobase and Ndidi Emefiele.

All is now set for the commencement of the 9th edition of the annual Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange Project, WSICE 2018, which is scheduled to hold from July 12 -15 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Recent developments have revealed that the reading culture among Nigerians, especially the youths and students have waned significantly. And as part of efforts to stem the tide, a non governmental organistation, Olise Omolu Foundation is set to introduce a reading competition among some schools in Delta State. This was disclosed by the founder of the foundation, Mr Sunday Omolu shortly after donating over 100 novels to his alma mata, St George’s College Obinomba, Delta State.

The Rele Gallery main hall was filled to the capacity as prominent business leaders and professionals in Nigeria and beyond gathered for the public presentation and launch of a new book, entitled To My Younger Self.
