We are in partnership with some religious organisations and some tertiary institutions. Our logic is that the older generation who have procreated more than their domestic resources, cannot be changed anymore. But incoming youths or the younger generation should be made to realise the deep implication of their action to themselves and to the entire society.

Wednesday last week passage of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has further widened the frontiers of 2011 presidency struggle. Even before Yar’Adua’s death, it was certain he was not in contention given his critical health state.

I want to call as a South-South person that we should not heat-up the polity. Already we have been going through crisis like a drunken man- staggering from rock to the other. In spite of all the stories people tell about him, I think that Dr. Jonathan is a lucky man. If he thinks well, he may eventually be retained as Vice President to anybody who comes up from the North and naturally, he may also have the chance to be the South-South candidate for president and be in office for 8 years.

Atiku’s move to the PDP was in my view too hasty and totally unnecessary. As a friend, I could only express to him my views as an opinion but I could not force these views on him
