THe atmosphere of chuminess, assisted by clement weather pervaded the Isolo area of Lagos State as the foremost Arabic School in the area held its 42nd graduation ceremony recently. The event which hampered both human and vehicular movement in the serene area as dignitaries and eminent Muslim personalities thronged the area was held last Sunday.

Generally, all acts of worship, through financial expenditure are by broader definition classified as Sadaqah. But by extension, good deeds and acts that tend to save or ameleorate the suffereings of another creature of God are also considered as Sadaqah. Today, we are not going to focus on Zakat as it implies but other acts of worship that are not only ihsan but also Sadaqah.

Alhaja Gawat Fatimat Folashade, wife of the missing Islamic programme presenter on NTA, Alhaji Aremu AbdurRasaq Gawat, has been appointed member of the Adhoc Committee for 2015 Hajj in Lagos State. The appointment which takes immediate effect was approved by the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
