Pardon and repentance
All Praise is due to Alláh, We praise Him and we seek help from Him. We ask forgiveness from Him. We repent to Him; and we seek refuge in Him from our own evils and our own bad deeds. Anyone who is guided by Alláh, he is indeed guided; and anyone who has been left astray, will find no one to guide him. I bear witness that there is no god but Alláh, the Only One without any partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad, SAW, is His servant, and His messenger.
Amnesty and the Qur’an
Many are coming to terms with the fact that the activities of the Boko Haram is un-Islamic. With the way the terrorist group go about their heinous crime, except for the stalwarts of jahiliyah (ignorance) and those whose vested interest in the society is to fan the embers of discord, religious and sectional acrimony, and those who want to make people believe their religion is superior and who are blinded to the development that these insurgents kill without regard to the faith you belong; they know the fact.
Kindness as act of ibadaah
Goodness or ihsan, and a sense of collective responsibility towards one another are the prerequisites for a good Muslims. With that, you can have orderliness in the society where majority of people will be happy. The poor and the needy will be given their dues.
Hijab controversy: Kids also face persecution
As a demonstration of modesty and obedience to Allah, Muslim girls and women wear head coverings called “hijabs,” particularly when in public. Q24:30–31. For Muslims, wearing a headscarf is not only about religious expression, it is strictly religious obligation; and if the constitution freely provides for freedom to exercise one’s faith according to section 38 (1) of the 1999 constitution, then where lies the tolerance so claimed by non-Muslims?

Islamic perspective on Kidnapping, killings
Alhamdullilah, I am a Muslim. In spite of the torrent of criticisms by mostly those who refused to learn and those who learned but refused to be guided by the truth; and allowed sentiments to obfuscate their judgement, I am proud to be a Muslim.
Islam in the face of violence
During the time of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) there was a man who lived in the household of Ibrahim. (a.s) Ibrahim loved him, fed and clothed him, took care of him as one of the members of his own family. But he never knew he was a pagan. He returned home one day to discover to his chagrin that this man was not only a pagan but was a chief priest of the pagans. He was angry and threw him out of his house.

The brotherhood of Ansar (2)
I really appreciate the comments from readers on the last edition on ‘The brotherhood of Ansar’. Though more of the comments were complimentary while a few others were apparently directed by non-muslims to chastise this column, but there serve a great deal of encouragement and sharpen our resolve to continue to put Islam in the right perspective, teach those who dont know and correct the misrepresentation especially by non-Muslims on Islam. I have decided to let our other readers enjoy some of these comments and contributions this week.
