Why we’re determined to unlock Mile 2, Liverpool, Ijora, Tin Can traffic gridlock – CP Owoseni
In a manner of putting the record straight with regards to the role or contribution of the Nigeria Police Force in restoring order and sanity to the traffic jam-plagued Mile 2 to Tin Can axis of the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, maintained that the Force have been playing a commendable role in ensuring that the persistent traffic gridlock in the area was effectively tackled. In an interview with Vanguard Metro, the Police boss explained that a collaborative Task Force with significant Police input has largely succeeded in unlocking the jam and maintaining the flow of traffic in the area.
Total ban on Okada in Lagos: The gathering storm
Time was 6pm at the traffic-busy, indeed chaotic, Mile 2 area of Lagos. A mammoth horde of fuel tankers and other articulated trucks has as usual taken over every inch of driving space, thus impeding the flow of traffic along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway from the Second Rainbow Bus-stop all the way to Berger and beyond. As expected, many motorists were trapped in the stand-still gridlock and in their helplessness could only give vent to their frustration and impotent rage.
