Minimum wage: Labour waits for Senate as Reps approve N30,000
THE legislative backing over the battle for the actualisation of N30,000 new minimum wage by Organised Labour, has been given a major boost after members of the House of Representatives, at their Tuesday sitting set the new National Minimum Wage as N30,000.
N30,000 minimum wage: Uncertainty without end
TUESDAY’S approval of N27,000 minimum wage for state and private sector workers by the National Council of State, NSC, has added to the imbroglio over the protracted new national minimum wage. The council also in the approval which has been rejected by Organised Labour, fixed N30, 000 minimum wage for federal workers.
NUPENG names Olufemi Acting Gen. Sec
NIGERIA Union of Petro-leum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has appointed Afolabi Olufemi as its Acting General Secretary following the retirement of Adamu Song on January 1, 2019, after reaching the Union’s mandatory retirement age.
