Leading Information and Communications Technology Company, Computer Warehouse Group recently played hosts to graduating Computer Science Students from the University of Ibadan. The students were on a tour of the Company’s infrastructure as a preparatory step before they get absorbed into the corporate industry.

Tertiary education may collapse at anytime from now in Lagos State as the academic and non-academic unions in all the institutions of higher learning have declared trade dispute over non-implementation of negotiated agreements reached with government.

These graduates are found to be deficient in several area of professional practice leading to huge criticisms by employers of labour who had to spend a huge budget to retrain these graduates.

Rapid economic growth and its sustainability as well as the empowerment of the citizenry, which are indices of national development, have continued to elude Nigeria because of the lip service being paid to science and technology.

A number of equipment such as 30 KVA generating set, inverters, a Toyota Hiace minibus, digital cameras, field equipment among other facilities, valued at N50 million, which were recently donated to the Geology Department of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria by Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, have been commissioned.
The assistance was made under the company’s Universities Partnering Programme.
