NCAA says it will not compromise requirements for AOC
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority , NCAA, has said it will not compromise the internationally accepted requirements for obtaining Air Operators Certificate, AOC, by prospective airline operators. The regulatory authority added that it insistence on strict procedure of issuance of airline licences is one of the processes to ensure that no airline cuts corner in compliance with the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) regulation.
Keeping aviation personnel drug-free
What probably might have resulted in another major disaster in the aviation industry was averted recently by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), following a random alcohol and drug test carried out on licensed aviation personnel. The screening was conducted on 87 officials including pilots and cabin crew members from two private airlines and Air Traffic Controllers of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
