NANTA identification project to curb the activities of fraudulent travel agency operators

National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies, NANTA, will soon eliminate dubious travel agency operators who go  about duping unsuspecting travellers of their ticket fare thereby giving the association bad image. The association will in March, this year officially issue the identification card.

The President of NANTA, Mr. Bankole Bernard disclosed this during the January 2018 media breakfast with Tourism and Aviation journalists.

He said the card, which has the backing of government aviation regulatory agencies,  is “aimed at sanitising the travel agencies’ downstream sector.”

Bernard said this new initiative of the association would ensure that every travel and tour operator, whether owner or employee of travel agency, must have identity card with Unique Identification Number(UIN).
