A Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, security official has debunked  an online report that a plane  was attacked on the runway of Lagos airport by unknown bandits while taxiing to the hangar of   Evergreen Apple Nigeria (EAN) Ltd.

The official told Vanguard on condition of anonymity, as he was not the spokesman for EAN, that it was not possible to  open the door of a plane while taxing and rob it. He said the engine of the plane will “ suck in the person”.

General Manager, Public Affairs , FAAN ,Mrs Henrrietta Yakubu, when contacted by the Sunday Vanguard on phone, said she was not aware of the incident, but promised to investigate and get back.
