2011: Pray for unity, Gbemi Saraki tells muslims

Senator Gbemisola Saraki has  enjoined Muslims in the country to use the period of the Ramadan fast to seek for Allah’s intervention in the affairs of the country, especially the 2011 general elections.

Saraki, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, in her goodwill message to Muslims on the occasion of the Ramadan, noted that Nigeria  needs prayers to bring about peaceful election that is free, fair and credible.

She urged Muslims to pray for the unity of the country, even as she charged them to promote peaceful co-existence among the various religious groups.

The senator noted that as Islam is a peaceful religion, adherents must always preach harmony, love, peace and unity during and after the Ramadan.
