NERC inaugurates customers’ complaints forum in Lagos

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) on Monday inaugurated the First Eko Customers” Complaints Forum for effective and quality service delivery to customers.

Malam Imamudeen Talba, the commission’s administrator, said in Lagos that the forum would hear and resolve customers” complaints in the PHCN operational areas.

Talba said that the forum would also address all the complaints that could not be settled at the Customers Care Unit (CCU) in respect of arbitrary charges, among others.

He advised customers to first report their grievances to the complaints unit of the distribution company before bringing unresolved issues to the forum.  Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, represented by Mr Omotayo Martins, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, lauded the commission”s efforts at ensuring that customers had value for money.

The governor assured the commission that the state would partner with it for effective customers’ service delivery. Fashola assured the people of the state that his administration would ensure completion of the independent power project before the end of his administration.
