NEITI gets new Executive Secretary

ABUJA— President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI.

A statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ima Niboro, in Abuja, said yesterday that Mrs. Ahmed replaced the erstwhile Executive Secretary of NEITI, Mallam Haruna Saeed.

She holds a B. Sc degree in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an MBA from the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye.

Ahmed, whose appointment takes immediate effect, hails from Kaduna State, and until her appointment, was the Acting Chief Finance Officer of the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd, MTEL.
