WARRI— A Mobile Policeman has been shot dead by suspected robbers in Warri, Delta State, and his rifle carted away.

Some eyewitnesses said the gunmen apparently trailed the Mobile Policeman from a bank along Link Road, Wednesday night, as they allegedly went away with some money found on him.

The robbers, according to sources, shot several bullets into the air as they escaped in their Toyota Camry vehicle.

Spokesman of Delta State Police Command, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident, said efforts were on to arrest those behind the incident.
