The Lagoon Hospitals will tomorrow host Dr Segun Abudu, a renowned Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital, Birmingham.

While in Nigeria starting from Monday 19th through 20th July, he will be visiting Lagoon Hospital Apapa, Lagos.

Dr Segun Abudu specialises in Major Joint Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopedic Oncology.

He performs primary and revision joint replacements, performing about 300 knee and hip replacement surgery a year. He also performs about 140 operations a year for patients with failed joint replacements, tumours or post fracture bone loss or deformities.

Abdu is one of the few nationally recognised bone cancer specialists in the United Kingdom with less than 20 such surgeons in the whole of the UK. He sees about 2500 patients a year.

Lagoon Hospital Apapa will also be hosting a Lunch and Learn Event on Friday 23rd July from 12 to 2pm where Dr Abudu will be discussing Prosthetic Replacement in Major Bone Trauma. He will also be taking constructive hip/knee replacement surgery at the 2 day clinic.
