Expert has identified  modern updated technologies as a panacea to the lingering problems of misdiagnosis in the country even as the Federal Government  has been urged to increase the strength of the  budget on healthcare to at least 15 per cent. 

The Managing Director of JNC International Limited, a medical equipment solution provider, Clare Omatseye while briefing newsmen on the commissioning of its State of the Art Medical equipment Showroom & Technical training facilities as part of activities to commemorate its 5th Anniversary celebration noted that understanding the deficiency in medical infrastructures in the country is also necessary in all efforts to ensure better and quality life for the people.

Omatseye who was of the view that JNC International was set up to improve on the two major factors affecting the Nigeria healthcare system, which is accessibility and affordability said many Nigerians have lost their lives due to wrong misdiagnosis and lack of emergency response.
She further condemned the current slashing of health and education budget by the Federal Government, saying that if there is any need to slash the budget, health and education should be the last to be cut down because Nigerians depend on government for their healthcare”.

She further explained that the commissioning of the state- of -the -art equipment showroom valued at N100 million would bring down the cost of healthcare as well as ensure accessibility of diagnostic equipment at no extra cost to patients.

Stressing the need for evidence – based medical system in the country, she further challenged the Federal Ministry of Health to organise paramedics training at the national levels as part of intervention to critical care in the country.

On their activities in the last five years, she said as a health technology company established to bring solution to problems it has committed a whooping sum of N360 million in public private partnership programmes in the country.

Conducting journalists around the showroom, she said the company specialises in Turnkey medical equipment projects as providing medical equipment solutions for standalone clinical speciality areas such as Radiology, operating theatre, endoscopy & minimally invasive surgery, intensive care units, cardiology, maternity, accident & emergency medical furniture amongst others.
