The Lagos State Government has assured the owners of demolished property in Epe  to pave way for the ongoing urban renewal projects in Local Government, that compensation would be paid across board, regardless of land titles.

State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Wasiu Anifowoshe gave the assurance at a stakeholders’ meeting in Epe, adding that no property owner would be short-changed in the compensation exercise.

He said “Let your mind be at rest. Nobody will be short-changed. You will all be compensated. The Governor is committed to the payment of your compensation.

“Compensation of the owners of affected  houses will smile very soon. The computation is ongoing. I have said it before that no one will be left out in the exercise.”

The Commissioner, however, appealed to the residents to commend Governor Ambode for the magnitude and quality of projects being executed in the ancient town.
