Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho ensured that Pep Guardiola came out victorious in his first Manchester derby against arch-rival Jose Mourinho.
The match lived up to every pre-match expectations and although Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled one back just before the half-time break, it was the blue side of Manchester that bagged all three points at the end of the day.
It was a match that also saw Nigerian sensation kelechi Iheanacho grab a derby goal.
This win consolidates Manchester City’s position at the top of the table after four premier league matches with four wins out of four.
The reverse fixture comes up 25th february 2017.
