The Director, Penckers International school, Isolo, Alhaji Faisal Sanusi has applauded the decision of the Lagos Court of Appeal on the use of Hijab adding that it is one of the solutions to the socio-economic problem in the country. Alhaji Sanusi, an economist said this during the Graduation and Prize-Giving ceremony of the school held recently in Isolo, Lagos.
“We salute the courage of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division on its judgment against the Lagos State government on the use of Hijab. Hijab serves as a big solution to some socio-economic problems and makes our girls more honourable.
He enjoined the pupils to emulate young inventors who had made records and influenced their society. “Your focus should be breaking records of those great Islamic scholars – Ibn Sina, Ibn Rushdie, Ibn Araby, Fahraaby among other great men in Islam. Always remember the 18-year-old Professor, Alia Sabur of Thekonkuk University in Seoul, South Korea.
The 16-year-old Pilot and Dorothy Strai<ght, a four-year-old author. Bill Gates started Microsoft at the age of 19. Steve Jobs started Apple at age 21. Mark Zuckerberg was only 19 when he started Facebook. Penckers children, think, think, and continue to think until you are able to beat these records.”

The school recorded a great success at the National Blueprint Spelling-Bee competition winning three out of the four categories – Quiz, Spelling-bee, School debate, and Junior Secondary debate recently.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards to reward excellence. Asmau Bakare got the Best teacher award, Usman Lamina got the Best Overall Pupil award; Rahmatallah Ogunmuyiwa – Award for Overall Queen Bee while Kadiku Abdullamin got the Best Overall in literacy award among others.
