WARRI — THE Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on Security Matters, Mr. Kelly Otuedon, has urged Niger Delta Avengers to embrace peace.

According to him, bombings and vandalism of oil pipelines will only cause pollution in the riverine areas and make the region a battle field.

However, Otuedon, who was recently re-elected the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman in Uvwie Local Government Area, pleaded with the Federal Government to fast-track the dialogue process.

He commended the governor’s peace effort, saying “Governor Okowa’s peace committee, led by the Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro, has achieved a lot by going to the various communities in the riverine areas to preach peace. It has reduced violence drastically.”
