OGHARA—Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara, community has been thrown into confusion following the discovery of the dead body of a female student of the Department of Statistics of the institution at the staff quarter’s junction.

The student, simply identified as Toju, was found dead Saturday morning with a handbag containing her personal items.

Although details of the incident was still sketchy at press time, a female student of the same department told Vanguard that the victim had planned attending the beauty pageant organised as part of the institution’s students’ celebration.

According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the victim, who resides in Benin with her parents, was found dead in the early hours of Saturday with whitish substance oozing from her mouth.
